The museum of Shandong University of Art and Design and Sun Changlin gallery

   

    Sun Changlin gallery was established in 2,000 and there are display area of more than 500 square meters. There are more than 3,000 pieces of collections, including calligraphy and paintings of famous persons, stone rubbing of portraits in Han dynasty, ancient pottery utensils, bronze utensils and folk art collections. Folk art collections are mainly dresses and make-up, offering sacrifices, entertainments, decorations, art of games, and it also includes garments, daily embroidery products, painting and dying flower cloth, mask, leather-silhouette, kite, puppet, New Year pictures, paper-cut, ladle, face-model, plaything, etc. The collections presented as the gifts by Mr. Sun Changlin are mainly ancient potteries, stone rubbing of portraits in Han dynasty, New Year pictures and clay plaything, which are displayed in Sun Changlin Gallery.

    The museum of Shandong University of Art and Design is not only for artistic works collection and research organization, but also for academic exchange and teaching research. The main purpose of the museum is to collect and store the valuable artistic works, to hold high-level art exhibition, to improve teaching practice, and to make a research on archaeology, museology and cultural heritage so as to scientific and technological protection.
