61)On Nov.9 leaders of Shandong University of Art and Design and University of Oregon delegation held a discussion during which the two sides talked about cooperation affairs and signed the cooperation memorandum.
   The discussion was held in the morning. President Pan Lusheng, Vice President Li Xin, Vice Dean of Department of Environmental Art Design Guo Quchen, Vice Dean of Department of Digital Art Wang Chuandong, Vice Director of International Affairs Division Kang Jian, Vice President of University of Oregon Terri Warpinski, Director of School of Architecture and Arts Doug Blandy, Dean of Department of Architecture Christine Theodoropoulos, Dean of Department of Fine Arts Kate Wagle and Professor Tan Ying from School of Architecture and Arts attended the discussion.
   The signing ceremony of memorandum between Shandong University of Art and Design and University of Oregon was held on the afternoon.

 

  62)The famous modern designer, Professor Sari Anttonen from Finland was invited by College of the Applied Design of Shandong University of Art and Design to give a lecture on Nov.16, 2005. The theme for the lecture is the introduction to Finland modern design and designers. She also introduced some teachers and students’works from University of Art and Design Helsinki to the audiences. Dr. Fang hai from college of the Applied Design presided over the lecture. President of college of the Applied Design Shi Zengquan and Vice President Ren Zhongquan also attended the lecture.

63)From Nov.13 to Nov.16, 2005, Mr. Yu Maoyang, the secretary of the Party Committee of Shandong University of Art and Design and Mr. Kang Jian, director of International Affairs Division attended the 19th IPMA (International Project Management Association) World Congress in New Delhi, India. It’s the first time that this World Congress was held outside Europe. The congress theme was “Vision to Reality - the project management way”. There were 1500 delegates totally from 85 countries attended the congress and 33 delegates were from China. During the Congress Mr. Yu Maoyang took part in each activities and communicated with foreign delegates. They exchanged ideas mainly on educational project management of university, especially the design management. Mr. Yu Maoyang also visited Jawaharlal Nehru University and Delhi University.
