Appendix to the Contract
1.The Foreign Teacher will work according to the university calendar, 5 days/week, 12 periods/week. A full working day is 8 hours and cooperation with the department is expected.
2.The contract is for one year (12 months). The salary and subsidy is about 3000 R.M.B. per month. The salary is different according to the teacher's level and degree.
3.During the last month of the working year a single air ticket from China to the teacher's country will be paid.
4.The university will provide free accommodation including furniture, bedding, telephone, television, refrigerator, air conditioner, toilet and kitchen facilities. Telephone will be paid by the foreign teachers.
5.The foreign teacher will pay himself the medical cost happened in China.
6.Any savings from the salary can be changed into foreign currency up to a maximum of 70% of the total salary.
7.The university will provide and pay for any official documentation that may be required for residence and working (including spouse).
8.If the foreign teacher is absent due to illness for less than a total of 30 days, the full salary will be paid. If over 30 days, the university has the right to cancel the contract.
9.If leave is requested for personal reasons, the total should not exceed 10 days. Continuous leave should not exceed 3 days. For each excess day, 2 days salary will be forfeited. The university reserves the right to cancel the contract according to the seriousness of the situation.
10.If leave is taken without permission, for each day absent, 3days pay will be forfeited. If it is a serious situation, the university has the right to cancel the contract .The teacher will have to accept responsibility for any omissions.
11.This appendix is part of the contract and therefore has equal authority.
