School of Fine Arts

  School of Fine Arts, set up in 1990, owns 5 specialties of traditional Chinese painting, mural, oil painting, sculpture, calligraphy decoration arts, 8 working rooms. The students in the school are four-year system undergraduate course with the Bachelor of Arts. With nearly 30 years efforts, a lot of achievements were achieved in the teaching and creation of painting, sculpture and mural. A group of intelligent young and middle age teachers gathered in the school and obtained the gratifying achievements in teaching and works creation.

    The teachers team in the school are strong and the structure of the team is reasonable. There are 13 professors and associate professors, including 1 national level “artist with excellent quality and strong ability” and 1 provincial level “artist with excellent quality and strong ability”; 2 provincial level young and middle age academic leaders; 2 Chinese famous painters and 2 professors of seniority and prestige. More than 10 academic monograph treatises, teaching materials and more than 90 papers were published successively, and more than 100 environmental sculpture works were finished, 40 painting collections were published. The works of the teachers gained a lot of prizes of the national level and the provincial level one after another. The art works of the teachers won the United Nations science, education and culture organization prize, 2 silver prizes from the 9 the national art exhibition, “silver prize” of the group stars prize from the Ministry of Culture, the first prize from the national first custom paintings exhibition, 1 “silver prize” and 1 “copper prize” from the national New Year pictures exhibition. The art works of the teachers gained more than 80 times the prizes of the national level and ministry level, and more than 200 times the provincial level prizes. At present, 307 students of undergraduate course are studying in the school, and since the establishment of the school, more than 450 students of the undergraduate course and of the professional subjects for 13 years were cultivated.
