A. Eco Design and Design Education
As a design concept, eco-design combines and coordinates design and ecology, minimizing the negative impact upon the environment. During the product life cycle from design to production, transportation, use, maintenance and recycle, the effects on the environment must be taken into account. Today eco-design is especially important because natural resource is decreasing and ecological environment devastating. The awareness and realization of eco-design concept depends on design education. Only when eco-design is involved in the whole process of design education, is it possible to graduate designers concerned about natural ecology and devoted to cutting resource consumption. Meantime, eco-design should be economical and beautiful.
B. Olympic Games and Urban Identity Design
In the history of contemporary Olympics during the past decades of years, all host cities seized the opportunity to exhibit themselves to the outside world, from Munich to Montreal, Moscow, Seoul, Barcelona, and Sydney. Olympics have served as a special stage for cities to show their images. Urban identity design is a comparatively new subject, which includes environmental art, visual communication, sculpture, painting, industrial design and information design. It is through public infrastructure, environmental signage, landscape, sculpture, commerce and culture to understand the humanistic characters of a city. We should go further into the problem about how to incorporate Olympic spirit, Olympic Games and urban culture, which has its own national, local and individual features, in shaping the desirable urban identity.
C. The Role of Design in Green Olympics
In 1999, the International Olympic Committee passed The Olympic Movement's Agenda 21, which listed sports, culture, and environmental protection as the three pillars of Olympic Games. As one of the three themes “Green Olympics, High-tech Olympics, and Humanistic Olympics” proposed by Beijing 2008, Green Olympics means environmental protection is the paramount requisite for Olympic facilities designing and stadium planning. To facilitate the sustainable development between people, cities and regions requires us to use environmentally friendly technologies, improve environment management, and to develop the environmental industry. Design is a pivot point and plays a great role in initiating Green Olympics. Urban planning, sports stadium and public infrastructure design are indispensable to Green Olympics.

Theme
The theme of this exhibition is Design, Olympics and Harmony. Design has played a great role in Olympics, ranging from establishing Olympic visual identity system, disseminating Olympic spirit, encouraging global participation, and boosting cooperation with the business. Design has served as a visual communication platform for people worldwide to participate in Olympic Games, and to understand the Olympic essence. It is through attention and participation to realize the harmony between the body and soul and the harmony of the world.
A. We Love Sports
Sports are beauty and love, which constitute all the happiness in our life.
B. Anti-doping
The Olympic spirit and the true value behind the victory and glory are of great significance. We are against any unfairness in the Olympic Games.
C. Running
The vitality, power, perseverance of running and life are indispensable for the honor. Running forever for your dream and the whole world.
